Dear friends of the Corcovado Foundation,

As we start the year, we reach out to you with hearts full of gratitude and excitement for all that we have accomplished together in 2024. Your continued support has been instrumental in advancing our mission to protect and preserve the natural treasures of our country.

Thanks to your commitment and generosity, in 2024 we achieved:

• Conducting 148 environmental education activities, where 295 children had the opportunity to learn and connect with nature, cultivating a generation more aware and committed to the environment.
• Organizing 3 reforestation activities in the Golfo Dulce Forest Reserve, with the participation of 70 volunteers. We planted 1,039 trees, completing a total of 4,000 new trees in the region.
• Marking 2,000 trees and conducting 15 monitoring activities, demonstrating an impressive survival rate of 97% and a 200% increase in the biodiversity of observed animals.
• Facilitating 9 knowledge exchanges on regenerative agriculture, where 55 participants learned to create biofertilizers and apply practices to restore soil fertility.
• Improving 31 kilometers of trails and bridges in Corcovado National Park, ensuring a safer and more sustainable experience for visitors.
• Strengthening 5 grassroots organizations in the Barra del Colorado Wildlife Refuge, promoting sustainable productive activities and training 11 representatives in wildlife monitoring processes.
• Building a 60-meter elevated trail and a viewpoint in Arenal Volcano National Park, providing greater safety for visitors and protecting natural resources.
• Developing the Regional Action Plan for the La Amistad Pacific Conservation Area.
• Restoring a water reservoir for wildlife in Santa Rosa National Park, contributing to the well-being of various species.
• Protect sea turtles: We managed to release 9,623 baby turtles in the Playa Hermosa – Punta Mala Wildlife Refuge.

These achievements would not have been possible without you. Every donation, every hour of volunteer work, and every gesture of support has directly contributed to protecting biodiversity and inspiring positive change in our communities.

Looking ahead, we remain committed to our mission and know that having you by our side is our greatest strength. Together, we will continue to make a difference and leave a legacy of conservation for future generations.
